Teens Volunteering in Orange County and Across the Nation with Lion’s Heart
Who’s volunteering?
Teens like YOU are becoming a force to be reckoned with! They are taking advantage of volunteer opportunities for teens in Orange County and across the United States having already logged over 70,000 volunteer hours!
We invite you to get to know us, what we do, and learn what it takes to start working with Lion’s Heart today!
Why do they do it?
Orange County teens volunteer to make a difference in the lives of others. They want to learn, and grow into contributing members of the community. Plus, they get to see how much those they are helping appreciate their time and kindness, and it doesn’t look too shabby on a college application either!
When do they volunteer?
Our teens volunteer whenever it fits into their schedule. The life of a teen in Orange County and anywhere across the country is busy, but you can volunteer any time!
To be a teen volunteer with Lion’s Heart, you just need to do a minimum of 30 hours of community service per year (5 of them being in the education category, such as tutoring). That’s just an average of 2 ½ hours per month.
Where are they volunteering?
Our national and Orange County teen volunteers are helping at schools, community centers, hospitals, marathons, and many other community events and locations.
Lion’s Heart has worked with top organizations like the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, Education for the Children, The Rotary, Bethany’s Gate, Boys Town, Orange County Food Bank, National Beach Clean Up - Surfrider Foundation, Capo Unified School District, Saddleback Valley School District, Bell Tower Regional Community Center, Pacific Mammal Center Laguna Beach, Rose Parade, Adopt-A-Beach, Clean Water Now Coalition, and American Red Cross Blood Drives.
What kind of work are they doing?
There are many volunteer opportunities for teens in Orange County and across the US, so the possibilities are endless!
Blood drives, food drives, vegetable picking for food banks, tutoring, serving at and participating in marathons and charity races, and many other activities are popular ways teens in Orange County and across the nation are volunteering.
