02/23/2020 5:00P‑7:00P Group Meeting 2.00
02/17/2020 11:00A‑1:00P In the CommUNITY SJP, my friends and I set out making sandwiches at Mt. Laurel Library for the hungry and homeless. It really helped me understand how privileged I am and how much a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwich from someone else can make a person's day. 2.00
02/01/2020 12:30P‑3:30P Today we organized and assisted kids in our community to make Valentine's Day card for the military. I hope that we can get our town to show their love and appreciation for our veterans and troops who have dedicated their lives to defend us. We were glad to make a difference. 3.00
01/11/2020 7:30A‑3:30P Today was the date of the robotics qualifier! It was an amazing experience for both me and the competitors. I was the liaison between all of the volunteers and the adult committee and helped out with as much as I could, especially at registration. I was also able to see over 100 kids have fun showing off their projects and robots at the qualifier, which was also really awesome to see. I hope that 8.00
01/10/2020 4:00P‑7:00P We set up for the entire robotics qualifier tonight, and it's really looking great! The tables, projector, signs, games, cameras, decorations, and more all are going to make this event really memorable. I hope that not just appearance but also quality will help kids to be interested in robotics and have fun too. 3.00
01/08/2020 6:30P‑8:00P The very last committee meeting for the Robotics qualifier was today, and I am excited! We gathered all of our resources, such as papers, handouts, tables, concessions, etc, and made a detailed checklist of everything. I can't wait until Friday when we finally begin to set up the event in elementary school. This will really change my outlook on robotics and serving others for sure. 1.50
01/03/2020 6:00P‑9:00P 2020 Kickoff and group meeting for upcoming events, such as a Valentine's Day card-writing event. 3.00
01/01/2020 6:30P‑8:00P As one of the final meetings for the qualifier, I had to prepare a presentation and check the volunteer inventory for the event. I also gathered as many volunteers as possible to fill in empty spots for the event. Everyone else on the committee also presented and we solved the open issues that we had. 1.50
12/17/2019 6:00P‑7:00P I sent out a multitude of invitations today to the community in order to gather volunteers for the robotics qualifier that will occur in a month. I also attended a meeting for the committee that runs the event to fill everyone in on the volunteer side of the event. I hope that our efforts will eventually change people's lives and allow them to have fun while learning. 1.00
12/10/2019 7:00P‑8:30P Today I created a Google form for volunteers to sign up for an FLL robotics qualifier that is going to occur. I also created a detailed description page of all the roles, what they call far, and when they must work. It's cool to see how my work will help others to give back to the community and help younger kids to explore their interests in the field of engineering, 1.50
12/08/2019 4:00P‑9:00P I participated in my church's nativity event where I was a townsperson of Bethlehem on the night of Jesus' birth. It was cool to be able to spread the gospel around to everyone. 5.00
12/08/2019 2:00P‑3:30P Today we made bagel sandwiches and other items for the homeless in South Jersey in order to create relief bags for them. It was cool to be able to know that just a few hours of my work could make someone's life so much easier and comfortable, knowing that they are cared about. 1.50
12/07/2019 9:00A‑2:00P Today we collected donations from our town and sorted them. These were for kids in shelters who can't get stuffed animals and blankets when they sleep. This definitely was cool to see the community get together and be willing to donate to help others. On the flip side, the kids in homeless shelters will have lives that are so much better. We are glad to do so much for people. 5.00
12/03/2019 6:45P‑7:45P This was another meeting for Moorestown Robotics. Our goal is to create a qualifier for First Lego League teams here in Moorestown. My role as a volunteer coordinator is essential in getting people to help at the qualifier, and hopefully, we can make a difference in some kids' lives through the robotics element of the qualifier, and help them have a great time. 1.00
11/28/2019 7:30A‑11:00A Today is Thanksgiving, so my town had its own Turkey Trot. I volunteered there, setting up tables and food, as well as maintaining the 5K course over a period of three and a half hours. Hopefully, this was a great way to get the community closer together and have fun while running. 3.50

11/16/2019 12:30P‑4:30P CommUNITY SJP hosted a fall festival in Palmyra to give back to the wonderful community and unite all kinds of people there. I ran the escape room for kids of all ages, genders, and races and brought them to work together and have fun. Hopefully, I was able to bring these kids together and help them have a good time. 4.00

11/05/2019 3:00P‑5:00P Today was the third time that we spent collecting candy that people donated to the Project Gratitude for veterans, first responders, and troops. Hopefully, this can really show our true gratitude for those who defend our country. 2.00

11/01/2019 3:00P‑5:00P This is the first time that I will be collecting candy from the public for Operation Gratitude for troops, first responders, and veterans. It's great how my community is willing to donate their Halloween candy; it really shows their compassion and generosity. 2.00
10/30/2019 4:45P‑5:15P I distributed flyers for an organization called Project Gratitude for a half hour all around town. The project itself is a military charity for candy, and I hope these flyers will get people to bring their leftover Halloween candy to show our gratitude for service members. 0.50
10/28/2019 3:30P‑4:00P This is a preparation for the Operation Gratitude event taking place later this week, where I reached out to the public about the candy donation event and went around town distributing flyers.
