12/14/2019 6:00P‑8:30P Assisted our local community at the annual Holiday Celebration, Christmas in the Park. I was the photographer for the evening for pictures with Santa. I kept the line orderly and assured each family received a picture. Families were appreciative of the opportunity to capture memories from a fun evening. 2.50
12/07/2019 1:00P‑3:00P Compass 500K Meal Marathon. Worked with a group of 10 people packing meals for children in Haiti. Our group alone packed enough food to feed 6,000 children. 10/05/2019 9:45A‑1:00P I worked with this rescue shelter for the first time today. I helped to provide care for the rescue dogs by walking, feeding, cleaning kennels and various other odd jobs as needed. It was clear that these dogs all came to this shelter from various experiences/backgrounds. Some looked well cared for, while others were seemingly scared and unkept. I did what I could to be sure they were comfortable 3.25
09/28/2019 8:30A‑9:00A Worked with classmates to decorate the school hallways in preparation for 2019 Homecoming Week. Together, we created decorations and prepared the walls/ceilings for the week long annual celebration. This is my first year in the Spanish NHS and this event was a true showing of the value of community, inclusiveness and teamwork. 0.50
07/22/2019 7:00P‑8:30P I had the opportunity to assist coaches with defensive and offensive skills drills. This included throwing batting practice, running bases and fielding. What I continue to find most valuable is taking time to talk with the team and answer individual questions on mechanics and transitioning to the next level of play. 1.50
